The Benefits of a Full-Face Neurotoxin (Botox) Treatment

Considering whether a full-face Botox or “tox” treatment is right for you? I’m happy to talk you through every step of the process, including what it entails, the benefits, and exactly what to expect when you sit down in my chair.

Full face tox treatments offer a comprehensive and balanced approach toward facial rejuvenation, addressing multiple areas to achieve a harmonious and youthful appearance. By smoothing out wrinkles and preventing future lines, Botox helps you maintain a refreshed look with minimal downtime and discomfort.

What Are Full-Face Botox Treatments?

Full-face tox treatments involve the use of neuromodulator injections across multiple areas of the face to address various signs of aging and achieve a balanced, youthful appearance.

Instead of targeting just one area, such as the forehead or crow’s feet, a full-face treatment considers the entire facial structure, ensuring that all regions work together. This approach helps in achieving a more natural and symmetrical look.

Benefits of Full-Face Tox Treatments

  1. Comprehensive Rejuvenation: Treating the full-face with tox allows for a more comprehensive approach toward facial rejuvenation. By addressing multiple areas, you can achieve an overall youthful appearance rather than just isolated improvements.

  2. Balanced Results: Focusing on the entire face ensures that the results are balanced and symmetrical. This prevents the unnatural look that can sometimes occur when only one area is treated, and neighboring muscles try to compensate for their friends not doing their part.

  3. Smooths Multiple Areas: Full-face treatments can smooth out wrinkles and fine lines in various regions such as the forehead, around the eyes, the brow area, and even the lower face. This comprehensive approach can tackle different types of wrinkles, from dynamic lines caused by facial expressions, static lines that have developed over time but also the power of lifting the lower face (enhancing the jawline) by relaxing the downward pull of the neck muscles connected to the jaw.

  4. Solving the Resting, Bish face: Regular full-face tox, including the DAO muscle—responsible for pulling the smile downward, can provide a lift to the smile and in turn you get your joyful look back.

  5. Customizable: Full-face treatments are highly customizable, meaning I can tailor the injections to your specific needs and facial anatomy, ensuring the most effective and natural-looking results. Full-face tox doesn’t have to be scary, unnatural or weird. In fact, quite the opposite. Instead, you get your wrinkles relaxed, a lifted lower face, a smooth chin and a more defined jawline.

Areas to Consider When Considering Full-Face Tox

These areas are not all “must-do” items, or needed every time you get treated, but can certainly be considered when contemplating full-face tox. Or you can mix and match for the best possible result at balancing your specific anatomy and/or aesthetic goals.

  1. Forehead: tackle those horizontal lines across your forehead.

  2. 11’s: solve the furrowed brows that push together creating an 11

  3. Crow’s Feet: fix those stubborn lines that crease when you smile or squint

  4. Bunny Lines: relax the lines that form when you pull up your nose like a bunny

  5. DAO: one of my favs to give your joyful look back. No more resting b-face

  6. Jawline: I love a defined jawline! This will relax those muscles pulling from your neck

  7. Chin: is your chin dimpled like an orange peel? There’s a fix for that! Tox it.

  8. Gummy Smile: beauties with gumminess when they smile--smile on! Gummy be gone!

  9. Lip Flip: want a sneak peek at what lip filler might look like? Tox that upper lip!

  10. Neck Bands: super strong muscles that pull the entire face downward; you can relax them if they’re pulling your face causing jowls to form

  11. Masseters: amazingly helpful for those suffering from TMJ; also good at slimming the lower face…yes, please! 😊

What to Expect When Getting Tox Injections

Feeling nervous? Here’s exactly what to expect when you sit down in my chair.

Consultation

Your journey begins with a consultation with me. During this session, you’ll discuss your concerns, goals, and medical history. I will assess your facial structure and determine the most appropriate areas for injections to achieve your desired outcome. Natural and balanced is always priority.

The Procedure

  1. Preparation: On the day of the procedure, your face will be cleansed as soon as you sit down.

  2. Injection Process: The actual injection process is relatively quick, typically taking about 10-15 minutes depending on the number of areas being treated. I will use a fine needle to inject small amounts of neuromodulators into the targeted muscles. Together, we will choose which tox is best for you…Botox, Jeuveau, Dysport, Xeomin or Daxxify.

  3. Pain and Discomfort: Most patients experience minimal discomfort, often described as a slight pinch or like a tug at a tiny hair. The use of ultra-fine needles helps reduce any pain.

Aftercare

  1. Immediate Aftercare: After the procedure, you may experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites. These side effects are generally mild and temporary, resolving within a few minutes to couple of hours.

  2. Post-Treatment Instructions: Common recommendations include avoiding rubbing or massaging the treated areas, refraining from strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and staying upright for 4-6 hours post-injection.

Results

  1. Onset: Initial results from tox injections typically begin to appear within 3-5 days, with full results visible after about two weeks.

  2. Duration: The effects of neurotoxins generally last between 3-5 months. Regular treatments are recommended to maintain the results and continue preventing the formation of new wrinkles.
